Seems like the plan to add a 767 to the UK fleet has come to a grinding halt which may be in part due to the fact that they may have found a suitable third A330-200.
Very strong rumour going round that G-TCKE is going to TC Belgium at the end of the season and all the other 4 A320’s are going to Condor. 5 Condor 757-300’s are supposed to be heading to the UK in exchange taking the total number of 300’s to 7.
TCX looks like it will look more towards the long haul market rather than enter the low cost arena.

Yes it’ll be a 752. The 753 occasionally does Zante from MAN. I’ve operated a 753 into Zakinthos but it’s a bit tight!

Wys, what aircraft type is commonly scheduled to operate the GLA-Zante (Zakinthos) flights?

That will mean more boring A320 for spotting at DUS and I will miss my beautifull 753s.

I’ve heard the same info from a completely independant source outside of this list. However, I’m also led to believe that there is a little more info to come, and I’m awaiting full confirmation before I publish anything.
By: topjet330 - 2nd June 2004 at 12:18
is this information reliable however

No idea where the third 330 will come from. Seahawk, the fleet swaps won’t take place until after this season has passed as all the summer plans are based on current seating capacities.

so weres this A330 coming from and ill have a pop at what the reg will be G-OTCX

No sucky A320 for Comndor plz. I want to fly with them in the summer and the reason I choose them was that they are flying B753s. I hate A320 in charter configuration, they are awfull.

I suppose its being coming for a while. The first batch of A320s were shipped to Belgium a while back, and with the demise of Sobelair im sure Thomas Cook have taken a bit more of the market. With so many Condor B753s kicking about it’s good to see them finding a good new home!

I think it’s more a case of giving Condor what they need rather than TCX the right tools for the job! Cynical, moi?

So apart from the A330s, they’ll basically have a predominantly Boeing fleet.
Interesting.
Replacing A320’s with 757-300’s… can’t say I saw that coming.

So they are getting rid of all their A320s in favour of 753s and getting an additional A330? Interesting. 🙂

Cheers for the news Ian.
Any ideas as to where the possible third 330 will be coming from?
