Thomsom flights to Punta Cana TOM070

Hello,

We are flying to Dom Rep on 4th june and have been allocated seats 9G & H. However Thompson have informed us that the formation of this plane is 2-3-2. But having seats G & H would indicate they are 8 acroos (2-4-2) not 7 across.

Can anybody please clarify the seating formation for me?

Thanks

Just wondering Sarah… Do you have a boyfriend called Tommy?

Haha :D.

In this thread, Thomson has been spelt Thomson, Thompson, Tomson and Thomsom. Just found it mildly amusing 😉

I don’t know for certain, but from photos I have found on the net it appears not.

I see. When the time comes try to relax. I’m sure you’ll have great flights and a great trip.

Thanks Again, My last question is do you know if the Tomson planes have the head support in economy? I know first choice do but was unsure on Tomson?

Thanks

Thomson Airways operates ex Thomsonfly aircraft in a 2-4-2 configuration and ex First Choice Airways aircraft in a 2-3-2 in economy class.
I’m guessing your flight is from LGW? Then you are most lilely to be on an ex Thomsonfly longhaul operated aircraft. These aircraft are based mainly at LGW and MAN with a couple of the ex FCA fleet also based their for certain routes also, as these are based mainly at their regional airports.

If its Thomson Holidays you have called then they are not 100% going to be right in the information they are giving about the aicraft as many people who come on here may know in the past. However if you really want to give Thomson Airways themselves a call if you don’t mind waiting a long time…

However having seats assigned already as G and H then it almost confirms this to be an ex TOM aircraft, but you could be lucky and be in the last row (9) of premium on an ex FCA plane…

Hope this helps and have great holiday!

Thank you for your replies.

Would you know if the entertainment systems on these planes are touch screen or do they have joy pads?

As I noticed that FCA planes tend to have control pads, where as Thomson planes don’t.

Thanks

Sarah, it’s difficult to guess from the lettering as airlines often miss some letters out. For example the 767s I fly on have seats
AC DEF JK.

Thomson do fly two different configurations of aircraft though so yours may be 2-3-2.

I would double check with Thomson again if you really want to be sure.

Does this help? Thomson 767 cabin shot. Looks like 2-4-2 to me.
