Thomson are due to take delivery of it’s first 787 in January 2013, just wondered on which routes we would most likely see it on.
I will be travelling to the Maldives in March 2013, it would be nice to travel in a new 787…..what chances I wonder??

First 787 is due for delivery in January 2013, with others to follow in months thereafter.
Initially routes will be short / medium haul routes such as TFS / PMI etc… for crew training purposes.
Long Haul routes will start May 2013 to Florida and the Carribean. No dates have yet to be released for the eastern long haul routes.
As a side note i flew MAN – SFB last August with TOM in an ex FCA 767-300 in premium economy and it was fantastic!

Make sure you ask Thompson so that you’re not disappointed. I did this with SIA when the A380 started flying. Airlines like to know what the flying public think of their new aircraft.

According to Thomson they are to be used on the routes from Gatwick, Manchester, East Midlands and Glasgow to Florida and Mexico.

Most likely will be any that are not currently operated by Boeing 737’s
Especially the longer range rather than the high capacity shorter routes.
