Thomsonfly a/c changes at DSA

For anyone interested; Thomsonfly seem to be frequently rotating a/c types at DSA(Doncaster/Sheffield) this week. I thought that the Summer season (May 1st) would see the fleet as 3 x 737-300 and 1 x 737-800 at DSA(as last Summer) with the 767-300 operating Friday-Sunday to Florida & Caribbean. After the 738 operated a few flights in late April it has now left; to be replaced by a 757 which operates the longer holiday routes. The 767 has already arrived and is currently operating some flights to Spain(Ibiza) and there’s 2 x 733s and a 735 also based. A second 757 is making brief appearances. Can anyone in the know advise exactly what a/c Thomsonfly propose to base throughout the summer?

Long awaited decision on replacement due later this year I think. A350 and 787 in running. Nothing in the short term- hence refurbishment. 738’s to replace 757’s.

The 762’s are often used on longhaul. Mainly based to MAN and LGW.

762s are short/medium haul during the summer, only operate long haul during the winter season.

Do TOM have any 762’s configured for long haul as you would have thought that going stright in with a -300 series, there is more pressure to fill seats

Not sure the long hauls can be doing that well from DSA- currently offering flight only deals to Cancun for £29 and Florida for even less. 😮

Puerta Plata has been dropped for next summer

Noticed that the first of Thomsonfly’s 3 summer weekly long Haul Charter flights started today from DSA.

The first flight was to Dominican Republic this Morning, While Cancun takes-off tomorrow and Orlando-Sandford flights take-off on Sunday Morning. All of which are been operated by Boeing 767-300’s.

The 757 is operating there until the end of may similar to last summer and then back to the 737-800 for the rest of the summer

It seems that the 763 IBZ is operating a combined Thomson flight and Thos Cook flight, and that this is for the whole summer. We are currently getting most of the ‘new’ reg Tom 733’s (THOJ, THOK, THOL) at various times, and plenty of ‘tech’ replacements too – hard to keep track, or predict what the based a/c will finally settle down to.

Must be doing well if they are using 75’s and 76’s instead of 73’s!

As much as i’m an LBA follower, really want to see Donny doing well, hope it continues :).
