Thomsonfly New Routes for Winter 2004/2005

Today I received an e-mail from Thomsonfly saying that people will be able to book flights for the Winter 2004/2005 season tomorrow (15/07/04). The following routes from Coventry will be served:

Cork – New
Jersey
Shannon – New
Venice
Amsterdam – New
Pisa
Palma
Naples
Malaga
Alicante – New
Valencia
Salzburg – New
Grenoble – New

Doesn’t look like the Marseille, Nice, Rome or Ibiza routes will be continued.

Who wants to go to the west of Ireland although I may be living there soon.Recent figures released but failte Ireland clearly stated that the number of visitors going to the west of ireland was in rapid decline and Dublin had seen a 11% increase so why SNN and not DUB.I am not just a DUB fan I am also a fan of all other Irish airports and I like to see them all doing well.
Off topic a but Knock airport today announced it has handled 400,000 passengers in the first half of the year.A major period of growth there.

Is Shannon not the gateway to the West of Ireland?
I would think that alone would pull in anough punters, Duo were going to start Shannon, but that never happened 🙁

How do you know what people living in and around CVT want?

You seem to love bashing Shannon, maybe because you are such a big Dublin fan.

People must want to fly there if ThomsonFly want to fly there.

LMAO I can see Shannon being dropped pretty quickly mainly because no one flies there.Apart from Transatlantic flights the longest flights are to CRL with the odd flight to Russia and i belive RJ fuel stop there from Amman en route to the states.ORK will probably do quite well but forget SNN.

Well those routes that aren’t really winter destinations so that isn’t really surprising (Although Jet2 are continuing Nice from LBA over the winter).

Some nice new destinations there, ThomsonFly seem to like their routes to be a bit different (Grenoble,Shannon) while complementing them with more regular routes (Alicante,Amsterdam – Surprised they didn’t operate these throughout the summer.)

More a/c on the way at CVT I imagine, and surely more facilities?

Good luck to ThomsonFly.

So Belfast Int isn’t one, I heard a few rumours going around it might be, especially with MyT Lite pulling the BHX flights, Coventry would have been a nice replacement.
