my lawyer who handles all my corporate contracts goes to australia every year and always flys on either the 24 or 25th of december for 3 weeks, the amount he charges me over a year he could afford to fly club/business class and put the wife in cattle class.

BY also flew the 762 to SE Asia and S Africa for numerous years before the 763s arrived. Once saw a one-way flight advertised on Airtours (MyTravel) ex-LGW to SYD for £99. The thing was, it departed on 24 December.

Its been done before hasnt it? I think Britannia operated this route not so long ago, also Airtours operated this route on a 763 a few years ago.
Indeed, I flew it. Airtours 763 Gatwick-Bahrain-Singapore-Sydney. That was fun
But what the hell, it got us there for £300 each and we spent a month in Australia, with free accomodation (family).

Yes it’s been done before – a colleague used the service and hated every second. She even considered booking a flight from one of the stop offs onward to Oz and rebooking her return with a scheduled carrier.

That’d be one hell of an odyessy, you’d have to have a break in the trip somewhere for the sake of your own sanity

let me get my head around this?
a Britannia 767 going to australia?
in excess of 27 hours of flight time in a minimum leg room and seat width charter plane.
In reality how many tech stops (fuel and crew change) would it have to make?

That would be torture. I don’t think I could handle it. 😡
I take it with this being a special charter flight for ‘Austravel’, you cannot book a Flight Only? If you can, what sort of price would you be looking at for Cattle Class?
