Does anyone think that we will see Thomsonfly operating into EDI/GLA/ABZ from CVT/BOH/DSA in the near future?

So if the new flight code’s are going to be TOM, then whats the callsign going to be?

All BY flights will soon operate under the TOM code.

Heard yesterday Thosonfly to base third aircraft at Bournemouth to cover two new routes.
Any suggestions where to

Sorry to change the subject, but does anyone know if ThomsonFly will change their callsign from Britannia? Would be a shame.

CVT lies under the approach path to BHX – although it is outside the BHX TMA.

Growing a market by adding capacity. Think there is demand for a one daily service from Coventry to the places i mention with out having a inpact on BHX. The extra pax could come from Coventry?
Do you realise jsut how close CVT and BHX are? I wouldn’t make sense for Flybe to start some flights from CVT, they’d be much better simply adding frequency from BHX.

Suerly they would also be taking pax off the BA BHX-GLA/EDI flights?
But they operate the same route. Where are the extra pax coming from?

From BHX though.
From CVT they would start taking passengers off of their own BHX services.

Then BE might want to try and take pax of both baby and ba. 😉

Interesting times, and no mistake.
Still, it gives us something to talk about. :D:D:D

BA and bmibaby already have. 😉

Or defending your own market before anyone ells comes in and takes a slice of it away.

Think they would make CVT work with out an effect on ops at BHX but it would only be a limited number of flights from CVT. Maybe something like GLA/EDI/BHD/(ABZ?) all 1daily with 1 based aircraft at CVT?
But why? It would be like competing with yourself for the same market.
By: eurostar builde - 6th May 2005 at 22:38
Thought Jet 2 bournemouth to Manchester would be best for onward connection flights

Im sure an airline such as FlyBe could make a huge success of CVT to GLA/EDI/BHD and maybe even ABZ work. Sadly cant see BE operating from CVT.
Only if they transferred all ops from BHX. Which is never going to happen.

I think Jet 2 will do BOH-EDI eventually. Maybe either GLA or PIK one day.
Hopefully if asked TUI would allow a regional airline into CVT to cover EDI/GLA/BHD as Im sure those routes would work with a ATR-42 or similar
