Why the bloody hell are we wasting time with solar & wind power when Thorium-based nuclear power is from what I’ve seen the “most abundant, most readily available, cleanest, and safest energy source on Earth”
I really can’t see any problems with it’s use, it would give us all cheap, sustainable power for the world, freeing us from this ever decreasing cycle of dwindling fossil fuels supply…

Apparently a thorium reactor can use all our spent fuel rods, there by getting rid of another bete noire that usually come’s to those who want nuclear power banished from the planet…

It is historic in a way because Thorium is/was used in jet engine construction and missile fuselages

Thorium is as-yet undeveloped technology. And you can’t make bombs from it. Apart from that, I don’t think you are missing anything.
