How this thread has been awarded three stars is totally beyond me.
Who by?
Just curious.

aaah….if you click on the RC thread:
http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?131564-Some-of-my-recent-builds
you can ‘rate this thread’, however, its the only thread I can rate.
Mods, perhaps it can be switched back on for all of us to abuse?
cheers

Can’t see that anymore Pete, think it vanished after an update or something.
Found this on FAQ :
Key Publishing Ltd Aviation Forums FAQ
Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.
You may find a small menu on thread pages which allows you to ‘rate this thread’ with a number between 1-5.
Casting a vote for threads you view is entirely optional, but if you think that the thread is superb, you might rate it as a 5-star thread, or if you think that it’s unspeakably dismal, you might choose to rate the thread with a single star.
Once enough votes have been cast for the thread rating, you may see a set of stars appear with the title of the thread in the thread listings. These stars reflect the average vote cast, and can allow you to quickly see which threads are worth reading if you are on a very busy forum with a lot of threads.
Rating Threads
What are ratings?
The forums allow you to rate threads between 1 star (terrible) and 5 stars (excellent). Once enough votes are cast for a thread, stars will appear next to its name in the listings. These show the average vote, and can be an easy way to see which threads are worth reading if you are on a busy forum.
On the forum viewing page you can also arrange threads by rating, with either the highest or lowest at the top.
It therefore makes sense to rate threads because it helps all users. To do this, click on the ‘rate thread’ link at the top of the thread viewing page. Choose the number of stars you feel best represents the quality of the thread. You may or may not be able to change your choice of rating at a later date.
However the ‘rate this thread’ does not appear on my page (or I guess on anybodys but maybe a select few?)
I suppose if yours works Peter, we could all contact you and ask to add stars to our favourite threads!
cheers
Baz

Re 16
C’mon Edgar, sense of humour failure? I thought it was quite funny – perhaps unintentionally – but, that is his innimicable style !

It’s the Pavlov dog effect in Moggy – the very mention of the word Burma causes these once modestly humorous but now snide remarks. He can’t help it.
By: Edgar Brooks - 23rd August 2014 at 08:55
It would be more appropriate to move the Burma thread here to non-aviation surely?
You just can’t give it a rest, can you?

Since GD is specifically for non aviation related topics this should be closed as well.

And how does one vote for a thread anyway?
good question.
Peter?
By: Peter - 23rd August 2014 at 00:47
The thread should and will remain closed but viewable.. The news thread is the only one that should run if and when anything worthwhile is to be reported…

Should be put to bed permanently Bruce – far too much aggro for everybody.
I can never work out why people get so aereated about it ?? – and if somebody does find something – I am sure we will all hear about it LOL

Could you maybe reopen it in the run up to Xmas, in time for the panto season?
And how does one vote for a thread anyway? Is there really any need to vote for a thread?
Just as well there isn’t the opportunity to vote on the popularity of users on this forum – there would be arguments over being unfairly voted down – or up…;o)

It descended into farce again, so I closed it, again.
It was at five stars at one point. It’s been steadily declining..
By: snafu - 22nd August 2014 at 17:02
Not been keeping up with it.
Was any conclusion reached, or has it descended into name calling again?
By: charliehunt - 22nd August 2014 at 11:34
Baz – you of all people – what have you started??!!

Beyond me too Baz, I mean with 5,311 Replies and 871,399 views, you’d think it would be worth at least Five Stars 😉
