The Lynx AH7 we used to get bussed around in had a GPMG door gun, but would seat 11 including the door gunner. 12 would be a real squeeze leaving the gunner sitting squashed up on the floor!
I believe both AH7s and 9s are still regulars on the orbat but are no longer TOW missile carriers.

Can’t say i can see any armoury on them..for what role are they used??
The mount in the doorway is for a GPMG and they used to carry TOW but I think they have taken over the Gazelle’s A.O.P. and Senior Officer’s flying staff car type duties plus moving up to 12 troops around the battle are fast. I think their old anti-tank role now falls to the Apache.

been flown in most british forces types over the years, chinook, puma, gazelle, merlin and sea king. but must say the lynx has always been my favourite! got some great memories from NI!
