Normally I don’t have to ask here for Japanese aircraft. If I need to, the people from the j-aircraft.org forum know everything. But this time they left me alone, with three aircraft in sequence!
I hope you here, the world’s best aircraft recognition experts (no joke!), are able to help. The pictures are all from the Summer-Ochibo blog.
1) J-BCHZ: Goldenyears does not list this registration. The picture is out of a context of Nakajima E2N pictures. Could this be a civil conversion with closed cabin?
2) J-BJDI: Registration clearly shown in another picture of this aircraft. Not listed in Goldenyears, but the neigbour registrations J-BJDH and J-BJDJ are. These both are told to be: “Aichi Navy type 90-1”. This one is, by Wikipedia, the Aichi E3A. Easy conclusion that J-BJDI must be the third of them. But pictures (googled for Aichi E3A1) show differences, especially in the tailfin/rudder section.
3) J-BJDO: Listed in Goldenyears as “Nakajima Navy type 90-2”. Wikipedia gives the other identity as Nakajima E4N. But this can’t be. The latter always wears a long bulge in the fuselage side behind the engine (sure for E4N2 and E4N3, no good pic found for E4N1). J-BJDO does not, as you see on the picture.
So, Forum Keypublishing – Historical Section, it’s now your turn!:)
Thank you!!!

Thank you for your translation work, Wiesso!:)
To resume:
1)J-BCHZ: “Navy type 15” is the Nakajima E2N, regarding the “Francillon”.
2)J-BJDI: Although my conclusion was right, the difference to a “regular” Aichi E3A is still unclear.
3)J-BJDO: “90 type 2” is confirmed, but also here, the difference to a “regular” Nakajima E4N2/3 is still unclear.
“Air release pipe” is the exhaust? It looks like Ando’s undertook conversions of floatplanes.
