The Lanc’s are 2 1/2″ diameter, the one on the Typhoon & Tempest is 2″.
But as others have indicated, they are quite a common sight.
Isn’t there a pun here about Hobson’s choice?

A friction nut would be a standard piece of any aircraft so there is no real reason why they should differ from type to type really. Supplying those could have been keeping a couple of manufacturers busy all through the war.
