Evening all….
Anyone out there have any pictures deep in their collection of the Tiger Moth Diamond Nine Display Team, particularly if anyone has any of G-ADXT, that would be lovely…

Hi Classic Junkie
Thank you for that, however, I must confess that if you look back through some of my older posts from the last couple of years, you will see that I happen to know these guys “particularly well”. The feedback I received from a number of people on this forum helped piece together and write the history of XT for the website.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website, and by all means if you have always wanted a flight in a Tiger, please feel free to get in contact. I will PM you later this evening with details, or contact us through the website.
Thanks again

Think I might be able to help with your request for photos of G-ADXT, I’ve just picked up a copy of the latest Flypast and it seems shes just changed hands, (her acquisition is featured on page 9 if you haven’t seen it.) I imagine you’ve got it, but if not their website is:
Its a pretty good website from having a quick browse, some excellent air-to-airs. I don’t know how close to Goodwood you are, but it might be worth contacting them. It seems like you can go fly in her soon too. 🙂
I see where your coming from, she does indeed look fine in that livery, in fact would make a great subject to model. Heck, I’ve always wanted a go in a Tiger Moth, I might just contact them too…!

Somewhere in the darkest depths of my collection I think I have one taken at Legends. I can’t remember what year it was but they were in formation with one of the FAA Historic Swordfish. Unfortunately I can’t post it on here as it is a wet film photo and I don’t have a scanner at the moment.

I’ve never noticed before that my scanner crops the pictures :o, so I’ve re-scanned the break and added another(slightly cropped!). I hope these are of interest FB.

Hi FB, I’ve found a couple from Legends of ’97 which may be of interest. They are quick scans of slides so are a little “mucky”.

Does anyone know what happened to Tiger G-APMX ?
We shared some good times in the early seventies…..
Last heard of hangared at Popham and back in a colour scheme more akin to its original Rollason Flying Group colours, rather than the subsequent scheme shown below and taken at a fly-in at Lec Refrigeration’s Bognor Regis airfield when it was still open.
Also for FB here’s another of G-ADXT taken at Shoreham, when it had not long been restored.

Sorry none of the old ‘Diamond Nine’ team. Of course they disbanded a good few years ago now.
The current team ‘Tiger Nine’ of course attends a few events.
I can’t muster a pic of the full three-quarter dozen, but these might be of interest, taken at a DH Moth ‘Flying Forum’ and practice day!
(Join the DH Moth Club and you might be able to blag a ride too!!)

Corr this brings back some memories , i’am sure my father has some good pictures of them at Shuttleworth, my father used to work with Peter Jackson who flew the blue and white Tiger……..she was quite hightec as she had alot of carbonfibre in her;)

I’ve got a pic somewhere of all nine in formation, taken about 12 years ago (at least!) and at a distance, so probably not much use to you.
I still like the pic, though. Reminds me of one of the old WW1 epics like Hell’s Angels or The Blue Max (where, funnily enough, some of the “Fokkers” WERE Tiger Moths! :D)
