Tigercat over Ispwich

Fairly sure that this is what flew over Ipswich today. 3.20ish heading S, 3.30ish heading N and heard again at 4.10ish.
Pre-ferry flight air testing?

Above copied from another thread, a NIF also contacted me last night to say this. Anybody able to confirm it was TFC Tigercat out of Duxford? Seem to remember that she was reported sold last year, assume see going across the pond, any further details please.

I would just celebrate if I had managed to get a look at her when she flew over, but I didnt see her!

We live near wattisham and can honestly say we dont get bothered by the planes that fly over our place. We love it when a mustang etc flies over:)

Lovely uncluttered skies away from horrible airliners that push you further and further towards the ground as you get close to Stansted, Luton etc…. at the moment.

Just my ramblings

uncluttered skies?…. my mate lives in east ipswich and when we sit in his back garden the sky is very full of passing airliners of both jet and prop variety! lots more over the wattisham area as well.

P.S. I would be interested to know why this was chosen as a good test route, and what the turning points were, if anybody knows.

The ‘NIF’ referred to by DOUGHNUT was me!!

I can confirm that this was TFCs Tigercat (well, it was coded WT-4!)

Actual times over SE Ipswich were:-

Northbound Southbound
14:49 15:24
15:32 16:07
16:17 16:50
16:58

This was great for me as I was on nights and was playing with my son in the garden (who, at 11 months, has now seen his first ‘real’ aeroplane!!)

Could we have the Bearcat next week please?

Regards

Willow

According to UKAR here, she flew a 2-hour shakedown flight.
Could be its last before export?
