Had a brief email from Tim today with the very sad news that he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Tim has been around the historic aviation scene for quite a while, and his enthusiasm and knowledge for both aviation digs and the hobby in general is very much admired and appreciated by those that know him.
Although Tim no longer posts on Key, it would be appreciated if fellow forumites could join me, and wish him all the very best whilst he is in the care of the neuro unit in Haywards Heath… as i believe Tim keeps an eye on Historic from time to time.

Received the following email from Tim. Please keep him in your thoughts, as he is one of us, and appreciates all the prayers and support that has been posted in this thread;
“Just a quick email to say after a month in hospital I finally got home the day before yesterday, I was so sick of being in there, the complications I had mainly pneumonia and pulmonary embolisms have been a real setback, when they struck 2 Saturdays ago i was so ill I thought I was dying, particularly when they suggested moving me into intensive care, but at that stage I felt so rough I didnt care.
Anyway a million percent better than then but its going to take longer to recover fully”.

Yes i text Tim earlier this evening, and the antibiotics are making him feel absolutely terrible. Really feel for him with all the ups and downs he’s experiencing. And as RearGunner says, hang in there mate!

Im Sorry to report that although Tim’s op went well, he soon found himself back in hospital.
He’s been in there some two weeks now fighting a serious infection following a second operation.

I can vouch for the collapsed lung thing, I had one following open heart surgery and it really knocked me back a step or two.
