I had the honour to meet with Wing Cmdr ‘Tim’ Elkington, when he visited our Historic Aero Engine enclosure at the Bicester Flywheel event.
He was in great spirits and I enjoyed his amusing anecdotes. The BBMF were making their display at the time.
Thanks to James Mann photography for their photos.

Propstrike; synching the engines does turn a few heads!
Anyone going to the Farnborough Airshow July 21/22; our enclosure will be to the western end of the flightline. Please drop by and say hello.

It was a great weekend, well done to all at Bicester Heritage for bringing RAF Bicester back to life, this is the 3rd year and it gets better each time.
Many great machines with wheels and wings and lots of good company.

It was a cracking weekend, and an honour to have Wing Commander Elkington present.
Well done dairwin for having the patience and energy to chat to so many people, including me, no doubt all asking the same questions !
When I first heard those engines running-up at the other end of the crowdline, I thought perhaps a Mosquito was going to taxi out ! One day maybe….
