Time flys

Looking through some slides my attention was caught by some of my images which mainly depicted sights that we would never see again and that some of the aircraft had disappeared so quickly just as I was getting to grips with my new found hobby of photography.

Hope you like some of my little gems which came courtesy of some flights arranged by some kind gentlemen in the RAFs Pr section.Although it never happened on a regular basis getting these flights they are memories I treasure as each time it was a day packed with anticipation, excitement and on the drive back home from the sites involved my replay of the events in the air seemed to liven up a boring drive, probably to the annoyance of the other motorists wondering what I had to smile about with a grin ear to ear stuck in a five mile jam.Ha,Ha.:D

So if you ever get the opportunity to do this, “just go for it”as they say these days and you wont regret a moment. http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/lukeatme-photos/0000015.jpghttp://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/lukeatme-photos/000014_1.jpghttp://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/lukeatme-photos/000056.jpghttp://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/lukeatme-photos/_MG_4291.jpg 🙂

Recce Bucc

It was indeed used in the recce role and each squadron would have had two or more on the squadron if memory serves me right!

Thanks for your info in your reply,I thought it was something to do with the laser designation equipment .Being as there is no 100% answer on this I,ll have to look up your theory on it being a photo pack.

If this is the case was it used in the recce role/or was it some sort of trials equipment with something else in mind. Thanks anyway Phil for your interest.

Replying to the Bucc picture. The interesting configuration is in fact a camera pack that replaces the bombs. I think the 1993 display aircraft was set up with this.

One of those JPs is probably XM419, which moved to Saints when Halton closed to the apprentices, then up to Newcastle Aviation Academy.

They didnt look too bad in leathers when they first came on the scene.Helen Tempest is on the left of shot with other girl whos name I didnt get when they made there debut at Barton in early 80s.
Both stearman were stacked stacked out with mini crunchie bars so the diet went out the window for a day.Happy days.;) http://i522.photobucket.com/albums/w350/lukeatme-photos/DPP_0001-1.jpg 🙂

Hello phil….The J.Ps were taken at R.A.F Halton in the early 80s and dont suppose they will be there at this stage as you see them in the photo.I just checked and the station is still open,so just google the name and some contact points will come up should you want to further your enquiry.
Cheers.
