Time spent on the tarmac

hey

can anyone help me with the uk or european rules regarding the time you can spent stuck on the airplane…..
I notice on the news that the US have set the time limit to 3 hours.

They get a hefty fine, too, if they don’t comply:

“Airlines could be fined $27,500 per passenger for each violation of the three-hour limit.”
