Hi all,
A pal and I are heading to Malta for four days in April.
Other than the aviation museum and the cemetary at Capuccini can any of you recommend any other aviation related sites that are worth visiting.
I would appreciate any advice that you give.
Regards
Gerry

Be grateful for the fact that they are putting in airconditionng after three years since the ‘renovation’ of the National War Museum. It was literally boiling hot in that place during summer (which here lasts from May to October)!

I was on holiday in Gozo last week , and on Weds took a trip over to Valletta with the missus. Had a lovely day sightseeing but unfortunately the Fort St. Elmo museum was closed for the week whilst they put air conditioning in!. ******!. Still my holiday was great with 24-28 degrees temps and lots of sunshine- then back to England yesterday to 11 degrees and wind and rain!!.

Malta visit
Hi all,
I have returned for my Malta trip.
I was only there for three days but still managed to cram a lot in!
Unfortunately my pc has crashed and is away being repaired.
As soon as it returns I will post some pictures.
I went to see most of the places that were recommended here and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
I ate at the Valletta band club as recommended. The maltese people were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
I strongly recommend the cafe jubilee in St Lucia Street Valetta.
We ate there several times and the food and beer was superb.
Finally, can I thank the staff at the Malta aviation museum at Ta Qali and also the curator at the war museum in Valetta. They both allowed me to take pictures with their aircraft and Derek Whittinghams medals which was greatly appreciated.
Sadly, we missed the 70th anniversary of the award of the George cross by 1 day.
I plan to return later this year to conclude my research and can not wait.
Gerry
