Anyone? Going there for a few days next week, and although I’m sure I’ll keep myself occupied doing the normal touristy things, I was just wondering if there is anything aviation-related and worth pointing a camera at in that area.

The PAC is, together with the FIO in Madrid (where I go to this coming weekend) a major operator of a fleet of historic aircraft, ranging from some small Buckers to a former SPAF T34 Mentor and a Super Saeta jettrainer. I am a member of both FIO and PAC, and the PAc normally has some aircraft flying on both saturdays and sundays at Sabadell, a nice airfield near barcelona easy to be reached by train (exit at the first, small,Sabadell station ( you can see the field at the leftside of the train while entering the station) and from there it is a 20 minute walk. B4est vantage point will be out of the aeroclub restaurant/terrace. Taking pics is no problem. There is also a preserved SPAf F4 and another Saeta. Go there in the morning, between 10 and 14.00 hrs. Apart from the PAC, there are some very nice tankers/helicopters based here in the fire season. I can give you a contact name for the PAC if you want, if so PM me, or phone me as I think we both are from Holland.

Yes, leaving next Thursday, back on Monday evening. I don’t know if I’ll have time to spare on aviation related sightseeing, but I don’t want to come back and find out I missed something significant 😎
Can you offer some more info on PAC?

The PAC at Sabadell is of interest. You’re there during a weekend?
