Titanic conspiracy, did she really sink?

Like many of you I am sure, I have heard about the conspiracy theory and have known about it for some time now and not really payed it much attention. Last night however, in a sleepy daze, I found myself watching a recorded documentry about the last dive to the Titanic. When the crew, useing little remote controlled subs enetered into a first class bedroom, they discovered that a lot of the fixtures actually belonged to Olympic (her sister ship.) Although no real fuss was made, it got me thinking and I started to look up some of the theories behind the conspiracy. The link below is quite heavy reading but if you have time take a look. It really will get you thinking. Could a fraud on this massive scale be really possible? It certainly makes you think, happy reading

Hey Kev

That was around the same week in the paper that the Freddie Starr ate my hamster story appeared.

That paper was great for some of the headlines it pulled.

Freddie Star was a Sun headline I think, but they exceeded that when Elton John had his civil ceremony a few years back, “Elton takes David up the aisle”

I cried at that one !

“Jeez, do you people know nothing?”

And don’t forget the London bus. They’ll need some means to get around.

According to that most reliable of sources, The Sunday Sport, that aircraft is actually a Consolidated Privateer… :p

Which ably demonstrates the absolute importance of getting one’s facts straight.

Rubbish! Everyone knows Kennedy is living on the moon in that B-29 with Marilyn Monroe. And of course that’s why they had to fake the moon landings, cos they’d have found Kennedy and Monroe. Or is it Kennedy and Princess Di? And Yuri Gagarin was really the first man on the moon and was just about to spill the beans when they sabotaged his plane. Jeez, do you people know nothing?

That story is full of inconsistencies. If you’re going to pull an insurance fraud, but don’t want to kill a lot of people, why skimp on the lifeboats? Why was Ismay aboard? And why is a supposed rescue ship sitting dead in the water showing no lights, exactly on Titanics route? It would make sense for it to behave relatively normally, not suspiciously & dangerously.

No, it’s a load of excrement. As has been said elsewhere, if you really wanted to do an insurance scam, the way to do it would be an ‘accidental’ fire in the repair dock. Easier, cheaper, safer.

Robin Gardiner tells this story because he’s trying to sell books. He’s as credible as Gavin Menzies, Erich Daniken, etc.

You forgot one Moggy: 9-11 was the work of George W….

No, no! Get it right! It never happened. There were no aircraft. The WTC was blown up after being evacuated.

BTW, have you heard? There’s a story that the Egyptians built the Pyramids, not huge intelligent alien beetles! Amazing, the nonsense that some people believe in.

Moggy

“Absolutely. I read that on the internet too. Just makes my point.”

Exactly, and it just proves how selective you have to be when browsing so that you can distinguish between the serious and the flippant, to avoid repeating your mistake of linking the seriously accepted non-existence of man made climate change ( or global warming, to reinstate the correct description ) with fraudulent footage of man landing on the moon.

This is starting to wander off into another thread…….

All of them?

I have it on good authority that the entire family are, in fact, immortal vampires, thus they have to stage accidental deaths and the like to apparently terminate their lives before we get suspicious.

Edward c*ck*d it up royally when he survived and his lunch died at Martha’s Vineyard.

I know this is absolutely true as I read it on the internet. I just can’t recall where.

But if you think about it the fact that some creaky old WW2 sailor got to pull the most beautiful woman on the planet at that time….

Stands to reason, doesn’t it?

we all know that there is no such thing as man made climate change

Absolutely. I read that on the internet too. Just makes my point.

Oh for heavens sake!

Titanic never sank, Kennedy and Elvis are having a same-sex relationship on a Pacific Island as neither of them are dead, there is no such thing as man-made climate change, the moon landings were all filmed on a Hollywood back lot

How many times do you guys need to be told?

Moggy

Ah, Moggy, you just had to slip “no such thing as man-made climate change” into your otherwise excellent list of frauds! Whereas of course we all know that there is no such thing as man made climate change.;)

Damn, they nearly slipped that one past me.

Bloody Mossad

Meanwhile to clarify the Britannic legend, it seems she was indeed renamed before launch since she was originally planned to be called Gigantic. The keel that was to become Gigantic/Britannic was not actually laid until November 30th, 1911 as yard number 433, so it is difficult to see how, whatever it was called, it would ever have been ready for Titanic’s maiden voyage scheduled for just four months later.

What I did hear/ read somewhere was this:

The Titanic and Britanic were being built side by side.
Titanic was the hyped up ship and Britanic hardly got a mention.

Anyway, the story goes, as the ships were being constructed, Titanic’s hull fell behind schedule due to some strike or material shortage, I can’t remember which. The date for her launch however was set and White Star and H&W did not want to loose face and miss the self imposed deadline.
Britanic was nearing launch so they pulled a switch. They put Titanic on the Britanics hull and launched her on time.

Tradition says that if you change the name of a ship, you curse it.

Well, it was a while ago when I heard/read that.
