TK Maxx again!

Another visit to TKM Swindon again today , looking for a new waterproof /Outdoor coat. Got one & also Revell 1/72 Arado Ar 240C-2 Nightfighter for £5.99. It doesnt really fit into any collection or interest I have —But I just happened to like the Box !!!

It wont be historically accurate when built , as there are no tail fin swastikas on the decal sheet…never mind !!

I paid £10 for a 1/32 (approx…) Captain Scarlet SPV, which was in the local ModelZone in a sale, for £30…..

I’ve seen models, die cast aircraft (which I collect) and all sorts, just take a chance and stroll in, you never know what you may find….

on a similar vein I can’t vouch for their other branches, but Hobbycraft in Hull have Italeri Hawks in 1/48 on their reduced shelf at 15 notes. They did have 1/48 Tornado reduced to 16 too, but I grabbed the last one 😀

Thanks a bunch hampden98! I can’t resist a bargain so now I have to go and get a KC97 as I can’t resist it!:)

As you may have noticed from another thread I bought the !/32 Hurricane and Me 109f from TK Maxx and have followed that up with a Mil Mi26 again at £9,99 it is an enormous kit. The only problem being is I don’t make helicopters so I don’t really know why the hell I got it(I don’t think I should be let out unaccompanied sometimes.)

Also good to check out the reduced section in your local Modelzone.
They have been knocking out 1:72nd Academy KC97 boom tankers for £20 (normally £40).

You can get some good stuff in there; a few days ago, I bought a Revell Privateer.

Best bargain was a limited-edition Revell DC-3, in the markings of Finnair/ Ilmavoit (sp?).
The marked price was £7.99, but the box was battered, and had clearly been opened.
I asked the assistant if I could check that it was complete, she agreed, adding that she couldn’t guarantee that it was, but I could return it if there were any problems.
Upon taking it to the till, it came up at £0.98.

And yes, it was complete.

It wont be historically accurate when built, as there are no tail fin swastikas on the decal sheet…

I may be able to help there… 😉

Cheers,

Don
