i had a great time today at legends, i want to thank all the people that were involved in making the airshow a great day!
i thought the p-39 was excellent, the Polikarpov was really good, only bad thing about the day was i got slightly sun burnt! i dont know how with all that rain 😀 😀
does anyone know what happened to the Hawker Fury?

Coming from the M11 you get stuck northside.
It happened to me and I wasn’t best pleased, especially as by the time we were parked it seemed halfway to Cambridge.
Robbo says if you ignore the signs you can get into the west car park, but the blurb says you have to turn left when leaving.

The weather was very changeable. From arrival at 7:30 through ’til 13:30 was warm, nil wind with high broken cloud. Just in time for the show opener a black cloud rolled in a dropped large rain drops on us. From then on it was alternating dark clouds and blue skies. The strong wind certainly made the pilots earn their keep.
The dark skies did provide a nice backdrop when the sun was out.
Hope it is a little better for those that go tomorrow.

Great shots, many thanks! But…why have they all got blue backgrounds? Weather has been awful here in the West with only a small patch of blue.

Yes, I’m sunburnt as well – I still can’t work out how we missed that huge black cloud towards the end of the display! Sorry I didn’t bump into you today and Hi to the guys I did meet – sorry Mr Patterson, I saw you but you were engrossed in conversation and didn’t want to interrupt to introduce myself. Great show, great company (Janie – now I know what you look like, be VERY afraid!). Yes, I’ve seen more numbers in the balbo than today and there were some notable absences (Janie, Jumpin’ Jacques, BBMF Lanc, Blenheim etc) but hey, what about the quality? The IMMACULATE Constellation, the gorgeous Lockheed 12A, SIX Rapides flying together (as DHFAN said, I didn’t realise 12 Gypsy Sixes could make so much noise!), the I-15 ……. Wonderful, wonderful. I hope the guys who go tomorrow enjoy it as well as I did today. Also, I hope all goes well at Snapper’s do at the Red Lion tomorrow – I’m too knackered to go all the way back to Duxford tomorrow, much as I would like to. Thank you once more to all at TFC and IWM etc who made it possible. Roll on Legends 2005. 😀 😀

Parking
Sounds like an excellent show.
My turn tomorrow, how can I sleep?
Re Parking:
I will be approaching Duxford from Jct 10 of the M11 & am wondering if I will be able to get into the west car park from this direction, or is the west car park for traffic coming from Royston only?
I am trying to avoid getting stuffed in the north car park, is this an overflow for when the airfield parking is full?
Will I need to go via Royston for the west car park?
Cheers
