Here are a few more morsels from Manchester.
1) B757-300 G-JMAB of Thomas Cook. Still not a common type in the UK.
2) DHC-8 LN-WFH of Wideroe.
3) EMB 145 LX-LGI of Luxair.
4) Antonov 124 UR82027 of Antonov Design Bureau.
I thought I’d include a couple of smaller regulars today, just for a change.
Enjoy.

Other clues are the bend in the fuselage on take off, the provision of binoculars to those at the back to see the inflight safety demo and the cabin crew changing shift’s half way down the aisle. 😀
LOL, yes that’s true but as I was sitting very much towards the front I didn’t realise until I saw this plaque thing. Then I looked behind me and yep the fuselage streched away along to the horizon so that confirmed it! 😉

theres hope for me yet, I’m flying with TCX GLA-Zakinthos in September. Albeit a miniscule shred of hope.
There was a TCX one in at GLA last week Sandy , but they are extremely rare here.
As ever Fred Seggie was there to snap it

. I didn’t realise it was a 753 until I saw a plaque type thing by the galley I think, that indicated it was. 🙂

That pic makes the 753 look even lobger than it already is!

I have also flown on a 753. It was TF-FIX of Icelandair back in March 2002 when it was brand new on KEF-GLA. I didn’t realise it was a 753 until I saw a plaque type thing by the galley I think, that indicated it was. 🙂

Thanks, chaps!
The An124 was carrying heavy military engineering equipment – looked like bridging gear to me. It’s done two trips to HHN from Ringway this weekend, but I don’t know when it will be back.
The WTD 747 in the picture, TF-ABP, is c/n 22429 and is ex VR-HIC/B-HIC of Cathay Pacific.

Great shots, I just love the AN124. I have seen that aircraft in MAN a couple of times. Once it was just parked, and I got it on video from the departure lounge in T2, and the second time it was being loaded and I was passing on an EI aircraft after landing from DUB, so I didn’t get chance to take a photo. I am going to MAN next week, is it likely to be around next Tuesday?

Does anyone know if the MTD 742s are ex-VS?

I think I need to get back up to MAN in the summer! Lovely shots, and that Antonov is a beast. Any idea what it was carrying? We have had a number of AN72s and AN74s into Farnborough this weekend carrying racehorses to and from Rome.
