Today's Pilot 2003 Fly-In at Gamston

Dear All,

I would like to take this opportunity to invite pilots to fly into Retford (Gamston) Airport, Notts on June 22 and join the Today’s Pilot team for our 2003 fly-in.

The event is being organised with the co-operation of Gamston Aviation, Kuki Helicopters and Diamond Aircraft UK and is shaping up into what promises to be a very good day out.

Qualified pilots visiting the fly-in will have the opportunity to take a cost price Demonstration Flight in some of Diamond Aircraft’s latest light aircraft designs, while those wanting to try their hand at helicopter flying can undertake a cost price Experience Flight in one of Kuki Helicopters range of aircraft.

Gamston Aviation are offering FREE landings to all visiting singles, twins, helicopters and microlights on the day and we will also be awarding a number of awards to visiting pilots and aircraft.

If you have never visited Gamston we think you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of both the facilities and the welcome you will receive from the friendly staff. The pilot’s lounge as well as the Katana Café and Pilot Shop will be open during the day and a BBQ will also take place.

All aircraft types are welcomed to the fly-in (including helicopters and microlights) – the only limitation being ‘pure’ jets (such as Hunters and Jet Provosts) which are restricted by a local planning guidelines.

We hope you will be able to join us on June 22 – there is no need to pre-book a landing slot although we ask that you call Gamston on 01777 838593 / 838594 / 838521 for an airfield briefing prior to departure.
