Stay away from this one. It’s basically a clone of Ace Combat with a skewed third-person view added in. Attention to detail in this game is very lacking as well. It’s not completely horrible by any stretch, multiplayer matches are hilarious, but overall it does not compare with either Ace Combat or Over G.

As usual, in Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., I wonder whether the nose and tail codes/numbers are real?
For example, the F-16C has “AF 38” on the nose, and “AV” and some numbers on tail fin.

No worries – I think the versions may differ from platform to platform, certainly the aircraft types seem to. On the PS-3 game, no P-47, no Corsair etc which I’m sure are on others. I got a hold of a walk through game guide which doesn’t have this chapter on it at all.
It’s been a while since I’ve played the whole thing, but I’m sure most of the major warbirds are in there.
Wait until you get to the last level – flying Mustangs as the Luftwaffe makes a final attempt at victory. Took me fecking AGES to do!

No worries – I think the versions may differ from platform to platform, certainly the aircraft types seem to. On the PS-3 game, no P-47, no Corsair etc which I’m sure are on others. I got a hold of a walk through game guide which doesn’t have this chapter on it at all.
That said, I got frustrated an bored, used the cheat code to unlock Rabul and walked it first time – but I want to go back on the ******** New Guinea one to see how to do it, one day…..the kids are on a 30 mins limit a day anyway (once homework is done etc etc) so I am the same, setting examples and all that stuff ! so I don’t get much time, and as before, not much of a gamer at heart.

Funny, my housemate was singing the praises of this game the other day. I must admit, the graphics do look rather good, but I can’t say I’d be too enamoured with it – I prefer guns to missiles, anyway! :p
