Tomato's – Yummy !

I don’t want to put anyone off their supper but, I though this was worth a mention.

There has recently been some media health alerts regarding tomato’s. Some strains of Hepatitis have been found in sun dried tomato’s resulting in some people becoming ill.

What hasn’t been mentioned – at least not to my eye – is the means by which the hepatitis virus finds its way into the tomato, It is, or was, the habit of tomato growers in the Mediterranean area to use human waste or manure as fertiliser on the tomato crop. All very well if the donor of the waste is in good health………
