On strategypage.com, there is an article statingt hat the old F-14 will be retired in 06–quite a bit earlier than expected. Replacing the 14’s with 18’s will give the navy an all hornet strike force(which is really BS, since the super hornets are not the same plane).
It’s supposed to same millions.
I guess they don’t really need the long range interceptor anymore, though.
Kinda unrelated, a Foxnews anchor, greta van sustren went up in an F-16 in a fly along with the F-22. It was pretty impressive, the 22 flew rings around the 16…
