Tommy's Question Thread 3

Ok tommy its just too early in the day for them yet :dev2:

Proper answer coming up.

Im guessing it depends if there is a free airbridge if not then you will just be bused out to the plane. Or on NCLs case made to walk.

I reckon the question about where to fly on KLM MD-11’s is a very fair one. I’d quite like to take a MD-11 flight before the type is retired.
I remember flying a L-1011 in the early nineties and I was glad I was able to before they were all scrapped. A very comfortable and spacious aircraft it was, too, as I’m sure the MD-11 must be.

Tommy,

If you have any further questions, post them in this thread.

Do NOT clutter the forum up any further.

This really is your last chance.

Regards

GA

I’m not meaning to start a rant here, but tommy, your threads are pointless to anyone barring yourself, your lack of manners are quite frankly rude, and you have been asked numerous times to stick to one thread – what is your problem?

I’ve tried to refrain from commenting, but I come here quite regularly and am sick to death of seeing your posts littering the CA forum. Whatever happened to your own thread, anyway?

Tommy, Mr Newcastle is right, some threads are pointless such as the value of the £ and wheather you will be getting a bus or taxi to your aircraft from the airbridge at whatever airport etc.

It’s all about quality rather than quantity. I realise that your threads are important to you and that you are enthusiastic, if you want any questions answered such as seating arrangements, wind directions for runways on particular days in the future or registration numbers of flights from 20 years back, then why not start one thread off, I know people will be willing to bend over backwards to help you, but to flood the forum with valueless questions which radomly come to mind is not so good.

Further to your last reply everyone is entitled to comment otherwise there is no point in submitting questions to this forum.

In the mean time I will look through my old Manchester Airport timetables and try to answer some of your old passenger aircraft flight questions.

God sake, these post are getting a bit painful and are watering down the quality of this forum are they not?????

The next question will no doubt be can anyone tell me which runway the Thomson flight from Manchester to Alicante will take off from on the 18th August 2012? and what will be the pilots name and how much frieght will it be carrying? Someone out there must know the answer surely? Come on it’s obvious!

The MD-11’s are staying until 2012 when they will eventually be phased out but for now KLM upgraded the cabin video screens to LCD instead of the monitors.

There are always a good number parked at AMS. They’re still fairly common, but are not long for the fleet as has been said.
Fly one while you still can.
