PH-BVA
Hi all,
Seeing as the company I work for is owned by Air France-KLM, so we do both of their handling here at LHR, I thought I would share these few pics of the 777 that came in yesterday…sorry for poor quality, but I was in a rush as I happen to be meeting another airline’s inbound flight at the gate next door, and I only had my mobile phone with me at the time.
Aircraft in question was a Boeing 777-306/ER, and the registration was PH-BVA, which carries the titles “De Hoge Veluwe National Park” on the front.
According to a source, it came in with 200 pax onboard that had been stuck in AMS due to the ongoing weather situation, and 24 containers of missing bags!
Enjoy!:)

No, 77W is the code for 777-300ER
I didn’t know that either.

Tommy, I’d recommend using www.flightstats.com.
On the right-hand side under the Flight Status box, choose the airport option, and put in AMS…and then select KLM as the airline and it will display all of KLM’s operating flights from AMS for the next few days, I’m sure you’ll be able to see which routes the MD-11’s are being used on.
One other quick tip though, after you have clicked “Search” button and it displays the results on the next page, select the option to “Hide Codeshares”, otherwise it will be displaying all the flights that KL also codeshare on, i.e. all the other Skyteam operated flights from AMS…will just help to make your overall search that bit easier!
Hope this helps.:)

On the topic of KLM, how can i track down a flight on one of their MD11’s ?

You mean that’s not what they are there for…:rolleyes::diablo:
To be fair to Tommy though, other codes such as 75W, does mean a 757-200 with winglets…so I can understand why he asked the question.
I am not surprised KL are operating a 777 into LHR, its to help to begin clearing their backlog of passengers and also the many ,00’s of missing bags that haven’t yet arrived into London that have been stuck in Amsterdam.
And with the weather situation to affect CDG/AMS again on Christmas Eve, you can expect more delays and cancelled flights pretty soon.
Glad I am not on check-in for this one though!:);)

Boeing should launch winglets on the 777 would look good.
Is that what you think there for? To look good?
