Tony Blair's interest in historic aircraft short-lived

I heard on the radio news this morning that the Prime Minister will miss an important (to the Government) vote in the House of commons tonight.
The pilot of the aircraft he is flying back from South Africa on aborted take-off when a fault was indicated on one engine. I assumed B.747 or the like but no!!!

Have just been on the Commercial Forum and noticed a thread starting with “he flew on a DC8 HB-IGH from MAN after attending the Labour Party Conference in exotic Blackpool”

A DC8!!!!! If I had seen that before hearing the radio report I would have been thinking this is the man to write to about the plight of the BA Collection at Cosford. However, assuming he was to return on the same aircraft, any interest in historic airliners has probably evaporated.
