It is scotavia.
The report in Janes says they are/will be reclaiming £800 million in spares from them. It is only the first 16 twin sticks however. Simulators and all that jazz have taken over.
Although I don’t know what they plan to do with them afterwards as they still might find some use from a none flying viewpoint
Anyway I hope 267 has a better future

RTP…is that reduce to spares? so all that will be left is a frame ? I am impressed with the work done by Jet Art in turning surplus airframes into exhibits, strange to think that Typhoons could be joining their Harrier,Tornado fleet? Wonder if the stripped frames have any value apart from scrap?

Well I hope she has a secure future.
Although anyone hoping for one of the 16 Tranche 1 twin seat Typhoon T.3 is out of luck… RTP started on them last summer!

A01 ( ZA254 ) in early 1979 , behind it is the front fuselage of A02 ( ZA267 ) on it’s equipping trolley ; as a relatively historic prototype no room at Cosford ?

Was she one of the F2s that were amalgimated into bent F3 frames that Airwork had ********-up?

This is A02, after I graduated from ETPS, I was moved to Tornado Perf. One of my first jobs was flying limitations for A02. Quite a torturous job. She was a bitsa with lots of one-off bits including wood. I hope they can save the old girl.

Given that ZA254 was disposed of from Coningsby around 2003/2004 and ZA283 was scrapped at St Athan about 2 years earlier there aren’t any others left.
