Tornado F2 Prototype ZA267

Was at Marham as a GI airframe but has now gone apparently for Gate Guard duties- a very historic airframe anyone know where? _ hopefully not Leeming as part of the RTP programme

Second that SF, would be great to see ’02’ in its BAe development colours, and be ideal for display at Cosford.

GR4

I could be wrong whit the Number! Thanks David it would be a shame if the F2 prototype was scrapped – A01 has gone as has AO3 leaving AO2 as a prime exhibit for Cosford!- back in her old colours- i have some shots i took of her at Warton back in 1983 during one of my visits

ZA594 came out of TMS and by the sound of it was replaced by something with a very similar serial! I will make some enquiries regards the F.2

Dear old A02! Hope she does get saved. She was at Boscombe for years. One of my jobs was doing her flying lims in 1992. Never flew in her. Only ZD900

Tornado GR4 GI Airframe

ZA549 is the airframe in use as a GI aircraft – it doesn’t wear an M number as its still a potential flyer

It was in the weapons loading training building in July . Reports of it having replaced the TMS GR.4 Tornado which came out for return to flight.

It would be no use to the RTP programme. It was reported in the school very recently.

Tornado F2 Prototype ZA267

…might be in the Ground School as a working training airframe?

Reported as still being at Marham in August 2012 as a ground instructional airframe, according to http://www.demobbed.org.uk/aircraft.php?type=1100

That is not to exclude the possibility of ZA267 being roaded to Leeming for RTP, but if it gone there anytime in the past four months. I’m sure that someone would have noticed and reported it on the ‘net by now…
