This may be of some interest to one or two of you guys and girls out there. On a resent visit to Lossiemouth, a Tornado GR4 was practising touch and go’s when after taking back off again the front undercarriage leg would not retract, listening to the pilot / tower conversation on my scanner the pilot elected to climb, burn off fuel and make an emergency landing. after a twenty minuet fuel burning exercise the Tornado came back into circuit just in time for the biggest wettest rain cloud to appear (Typical !) anyway an arrested landing was made but the nose steering was bust up and the plane was shut down on the runway and eventually towed away. So here is a couple of pics for you all. Sorry about the quality but the rain was pretty heavy and everyone there including me got drenched!!!
Anyone else out there got any interesting minor mishaps on film from a day of over the fence photography ???? I would be interested to see pictures or here stories.
Regards Plazz
