Without provocation or bribery, my gorgeous 12 yr old daughter cooked a lovely dinner for me and my long suffering wife last night for Valentines day. Alongside my totally s**t gifts thread, what wonderful thing has someone you know done for you without having to be asked. Yes I know it’s cheesy but what Molly did last night with her pocket money meant alot. 🙂

2 in the aviation side that stand out for me.
1. Trial Lesson from my folks at the local flying club for my 13th Birthday. Stepped into the cockpit of the 152 full of nervous excitement….30 mins later stepped out of it 10 foot tall and bulletproof !!! 24 years ago now, but I’ll never forget that feeling.
2. Owner of aforementioned flying club ( where I was by now working) making sure that I finished off my PPL (at his own expense) before he sold the business on. He didn’t have to do it and he’s not with us anymore, but I will always remember, and be eternally grateful to him.

My missus unexpectantly bought me an Ozark Banjo for Xmas last year, my only problem has been learning to play Deliverance on it.

Booked me in for stunt flying lessons in a Yak 52. What an experience.
