Nice – proper aeroplanes.
I assume pic 5 has a Jamaican owner. 🙂
Actually pic 5 was taken in my back garden if the length of grass is any indication. Yeah right, I wish.
On a more serious note, thanks Glyn. Nice to see some old pics of the machines.

A few more recent ones of G-ANFM………
The close-in shot is Len Mitton, getting John Coker a little worried during a bit of Diamond Nine practice. Like me, John’s idea of formation is same day, same county, same direction….
No. 2, proof you can fly a Moth in January! Bleedin freezin!!
Number 3 is various DH types, sheltering from the thunderstorms at Upavon, during last year’s DH Moth tour.
The final one – haven’t clue where I dug it up from, but a Moth deck landing?

A few shots from around 2001. Silver tigermoth G-ANMO (K4259) above the Benson area taken from yellow tiger G-AOJJ (DF128) pictured on the ground at Abingdon and shortly afterwards from NMO heading back to base.

I wondered how long it would be before “Ghandi”, also known as G-ANDE turned up. I knew her when she was owned by Montrose Aviation and spent some hours polishing the cowling when things were quiet. I believe at one stage she hit a helicopter (at Redhill?) and there are the remains of one of her props on the wall at the Squadron. Now up in Yorkshire wearing the reg G-YVFS or some such.

Nice pics, thanks for posting. Nice to see PVT, she became one of the Barnstormers Flying Circus A/C. Was sadly lost in a mid Air at Notingham in the early seventies.
