XL airways of UK did, but I think the french branch of the company is still alive. Nevertheless, two of the four A330 on order for XL will go to another airline…

Well, let’s make this topic rise from the deads… ;o)
The current hot news here in Toulouse, but I think most of you, A.net addicts are aware, is the first A330 for Aeroflot.
I had the chance (and actually had to struggle with traffic jams to reach my shooting spot) to record this beauty few days ago when the sun made a quick appearance…
A bigger view here…
The XL colors on A330 look great…
Of course I think you heard about the Pratt&Whitney GTF (aka PW1000G) flight test campaign…

The first A330 for Air Asia X, here appearing whithout the logo on the nacelle…
The last A340 “basic” version is a VIP version…. Looks great to me!

The first A380 for Qantas…
A colorful A320 for Air Asia…
And one of the greatest plane here, the brand new A340-600 for Royal Jordanian…

Let me show you what it should look like when fully done (best guess)

You can find all these pics right there on my personnal website www.konnek-t.com ๐

Great work again Stephane…
Any sight of a fully resprayed Qantas A380 yet ?
They’d better pull their finger out as Qantas are due for two this year in August and October
By: Ren Frew - 8th May 2008 at 16:14
Next to come is the first complete and brand new Emirates A380 but I’m not sure we will be able to see it here in TLS
I’ll look forward to your pictures if and when it comes…;)

Qantas nacelles are being prepared at Aircelle in Toulouse. The red-and-white kangaroo is just great on those monsters!;)
The aircraft will not be ready soon.

Cirrus operating a daily shuttle flight using an Embraer
Air Austral operating a weekly service to La Rรฉunion
Volga operating a not-so-frequent cargo service to TLS with an Il-76 ;o)
OLT operating a daily shuttle flight for Airbus with a Fokker in replacement of a Saab2000.

For some days now, Airbus has been performing some tests in the engine noise field. The Flight Test A346 has been equipped with modified Thrust Reverser on Engine #3 featuring now chevrons at the rear end of the cold nozzle, very similar to the B787 ones.
Engine #2 is featuring modified Inlet lip too.
Air Asia bought so many A320s, we feared to be quickly bored by the sight of the red-and-white livery… But we had many special livery (see above) and some little special stickers too, so it keeps us awake! ;o)
Here it’s a disabled logo on the nacelle…

Delightful pictures as per usual..any chance of the first A380 in Qantas colours appearing soon??
At the moment it’s in primer colour with an ‘old’ style Qantas tail logo. As Steph says, it’ll be getting the full makeover over the next month or two…

Here are some more news from Toulouse!
The first A345 for Kingfisher finally made its first flight…
And Air Asia is partner of the Formula One team AT&T Williams, so aircraft 9M-AFW (W standing for Williams?) is wearing a special -not very aesthetic to me- livery with the team’s colors…
And another new A330 for Qantas with the great modernized livery…
In addition to this (but without photo proofs from me) we were visited today by the BAe Hawk ZJ951 from Warton, UK, wearing its beautiful, special livery…
And the first Air France A380 made a little ride outside the Airbus Lagardรจre Plant for few minutes…

Yesterday, Airbus tested alternative fuel on MSN004 (F-WWDD) during a flight from Filton to Toulouse. On this occasion, DD was wearing a “Greener, Cleaner, Quieter, Smarter” sticker on its side, and RR and Shell logo on external nacelles.
One on the four engines was actually feeded with Gas-to-liquid fuel and performed (as said by Airbus) smoothly during various manoeuvers : gravity feed, relightings, high altitude flight…

Thanks!
Yesterday we had another cloudy/grayish day, and the first flight of the first A320 for Avianca…
And the A380 MSN014 (first Qantas) made its ferry flight to Finky today. Will be back in TLS in few months after new livery being applied and cabin installed.
