The flight code for Transeast airlines is/was T4, however I have noticed that HellasJet is now using T4 for their flights! Has HellasJet bought Transeast or T4 has been taken from Transeast and has been allocated to HellasJet? I am quite confused.

While I am not sure why it occurs, numerous airlines operate the same IATA codes concentrated in different regions of the world. It does not necasarily mean two airlines have merged etc.
