Transitting Barajas and Spotting Advice Please

Can anyone help with some advice please. Have never been to Barajas before and I’m transitting onto a flight down to Costa Rica.

Has anyone transitted between T4 and T4S in Barajas recently and was the transfer by bus or underground train link as depending on who you speak to….things and opinions vary.

Secondly , depending on who you speak to , do you have to re-claim your baggage from your flight into T4 before going over to T4S or is it just transferred between the two automatically ? Once again , I’ve been told that both things happen !

Lastly , purely selfishly , has anyone spotted or photographed from airside at T4S and can anyone indicate what views are like and whether you get any security hassles for having either lens or binoculars.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer as my travel company are not much help and the AENA website for Barajas seems to be a little confusing…even in English !

Correct. No baggage until you get to your final destination.

Baggage checking is only in T4. T45 is only a satelite connected by a rail link which takes a few minutes. BUT….airport is huge, so allow a minimum of 60 minutes between tranfer between both terminals. It´s a fancy airport, but most Spaniards hate it. Too long, too big, huge distances.

You have tinted glasses in both terminals, and no police control in this issue. You may use binoculars, camaras, video, whatever you feel like. Fortunately the light is not good, through the smoked glasses.

You only have to be concerned is about Iberia ongoing strike. :diablo:
