I wish the Chilean rescuers the best of luck with the task ahead.
The hell these miners are going through and the hell they must endure till December would be more than most people could stand.
The drill is now in place and I believe starts tomorrow.
Lets hope this all works out and all are saved.

What a dramatic rescue. I’m just very relieved that the miners are all out.
I was in London yesterday and stopped for a coffee at the rotunda thing in St James’s Park. When I came out, there was none other than Sebastien Pineira sitting on a bench fretting over some paperwork, surrounded by aides.
I reckon he did a great job. Yes, he probably got a fair bit of political mileage out of it, but at least he was there at the mine head showing solidarity.
Just remeber what Putin was doing when those sailors on board the Kursk were marooned at the bottom of the Barents Sea.

And so long as there are oily rags like Max Clifford around talking up potential earnings of £100 million what do we expect?
Yers I saw him on the One Show last night, I can’t believe that films, fame, money (even discussing breaking the miners up to get personnal takes on what happened down there) was being discussed before the rescue operation took place.

Now what the hell would I need that for? The 2+ months without Mrs C nagging would be all the counselling I’d need.

Ok, let’s get back to watching our politicians point score over each other……
Mind you if that prat Milliband doesn’t drop the non confrontational, non aggressive knuckle pointing when he’s trying to make a point I’m going to lock myself under the stairs….

Then you’d better make sure you tell them!;)

I’ll bet that the UK press did not mention that the drill bit that they used was made by a family firm here in the Irish Republic:diablo:

The good news is that they are all out safely. I think my msin priorities after an ordeal like that wouold be:- A bacon roll, a good cup of tea, a nice hot bath and bed in that order.
Hell yeah.

But you haven’t mentioned counselling………

33 is too big a cast,
knowing Hollywood, they will re-write it, change it to a team of 7 and the mine will be in USA.
By: Arabella-Cox - 13th October 2010 at 18:50
Oh yes, someone is gonna cash in on this.
By: Bob - 13th October 2010 at 18:34
Looking forward to the movie……

David Cameron phoning in with his best wishes on live TV.
These guys are just pure spin.
Can you imagine if Apollo 13 had happened this year rather than the 70’s. The media spin would be unbearable.
