I have just found out that Travel City have definately ditched European Aviation in favour of Air Atlanta Europe! I think the number of flights per week in the summer will be slightly reduced, and Air Atlanta will be kitting out their 747’s to be able to offer Travel City’s “Upper Deck” and “Sunshine First” type of products.
Poor old European, all out in the cold now then! What’s going to happen to their fleet (well, the one’s with engines still attached anyway!).

Hi,
just a correction for that long list of airlines, Delta fly from the North Terminal @ LGW.
Ahhhhhhh (Orlando?? ah nope) Sanford International Airport, I love paying $6 in tolls and that really short:D 😀 :p  drive along the SR 417.
It also amazes me that Travel City Direct claim to be “the largest independant florida specialist”, because so does Virgin, they have it written all over the Virgin Holidays coaches.

i think its european in travelcity direct colours although i dont know if travel city have bought european air charter and renaming it travelcity direct airways?? as on one pic when i saved it had european on it although it could be because someone has photoshoped european a/c that was on there last month into their new livery.
or maybe they have bought some of their own 747’s not from european or air atlanta on lease but their own?
and if european have lost travel city directs contract where are the planes flying to?? as european bought more a/c from the desert because they were operating daily flights to florida and mallorca and now las vegas in the all year round
and allen they are the only operaters using european’s 747’s and glasgow only has sanford from glasgow

Could this still be EAL operating with the aircraft being re-painted in Travel City colours?
I suppose it could be EAL or Air Atlanta with the Travelcity colours. After all, Air Atlanta have a 747 in Virgin colours at MAN already.
By: Pembo330 - 13th March 2004 at 22:50
I have heard a lot of rumours over the last few weeks about possible financial problems at EAL. Some comments I have read even suggest they could end up going under.
I have to say though that this is just rumour and I cannot back up these comments at all. Would be very sad news if it became true.
By: LBARULES - 13th March 2004 at 21:16
Looks like they have changed from EAL to Air Atlanta…. Wonder why?
By: Ren Frew - 13th March 2004 at 19:41
I think this is the travel agency advertising GLA flights using European 747’s ?
