Hi all the long awated move date of the aircraft has now been agreed , it will leave LHR on Saturday 16th July 2005 @23.00 hrs. 😀

News update, ZK will go onto the AVP and rebuild will not commence untill September due to the busy holiday period so you can get pics of the fuse. 🙂

Trust me ZK will now be reassembld in the AVP,IMHO the AVP will not move for at least another year.

There are the horixontal surfaces of a T-tail and two engines looking somewhat forlorn in the AVP already. Are they a part of Zulu Kilo?

Good to hear. Neil, I’ve been looking through your photos on planepictures.net of AWZK, and can’t believe how simple the cockpit appears! Is that the same as it was the day it bowed out of service? Because if so, it seems to put some other aircraft to shame. For example, MD-82:
