Trip Report: GLA-DUB-GLA

I got up at 0630 to get ready to drive to Glasgow Airport for my flight to Dublin for the DUB meet, with Andrew and Michael. I left home at 7am and was parking up at the NCP at Glasgow by twenty past seven.

Next was check in for the 0820 service Aer Lingus EI223 to Dublin, the check in desk was empty and as I only had hand luggage, I was upstairs in the lounge in minutes.

Wow you are daring…the largest thing i have swiped from an airline is a complimentary toiletry bag:p :p :p

The Twotters. I can’t recall seeing any of them at all when I visited GLA back in December, where do they usually park? Is it round the far side of the ‘Lo-co’ pier, near to where the Euromanx usually comes and parks?

Yes that’s where they are in the photo, they also rest up at the Loganair maintenance hangar on the west side of the airport.

Great report and brilliant photos! Really like the A330 pic, and the one of the Twotters. I can’t recall seeing any of them at all when I visited GLA back in December, where do they usually park? Is it round the far side of the ‘Lo-co’ pier, near to where the Euromanx usually comes and parks?

Could you not delay it a week? 😀 I’d really love to come along, but my holiday doesn’t finish until 16 April!

We nicked 2. Both in appauling condition I might add. Andy even remained on the aircraft so nobody would seem him stuffing an in-flight magazine into his bag! 😀

Great report and photos though, your flight sounds slightly better than ours was. But for £29 return, I shouldn’t complain!

Just noticed a small detail in Allens pics. Check out the name on the front of his aircraft…morning shot, and the evening shot…. part of it has peeled away.

Great photos as usual and a good report. I will be there in April as I am am going to fly from Edi havent made my mind up yet whether to go Ryanair or Aer Lingus.
Does anyway know what its like around at the maintenace area trying to get photos as the last couple of times I have passed through there is usually the odd interesting aircraft or two parked there.

Reminds me of one of the Aer Lingus simulators (737?), named St. Thetic!

And nice pix, especially the real aeroplanes (Loganair Twotters)
