Not sure how many know, but discovered about a Tristar in Cyprus.

Thanks for pointing my error out Wallace and Argonaut.
Not recog error, writing error.
I was imaging TriDENT, but my fingers spelled out TriSTAR, the Lockheed L1011.
I am very familiar with both as I saw plenty of Tridents in my time in UK, as well as Tristars (may have traveled in one once)
Corrected and updated title.

Two Cyprus Airways Trident 1Es were trapped at Nicosia Airport following the invasion of the island by Turkey in 1974. They are still there as the airport has ever since been in the DMZ and is closed.

TRI, got the first three letters correct, well spotted! Cyprus Airways ordered five Tridents and this is probably 5B-DAB, c/n 2155.

Not a Tristar but a De Havilland / Hawker Siddeley/ BAE Trident.

Slight recognition problem. It’s a Trident. Very sad picture though.

Sad photos coinciding with the shut down of Cyprus Airways this week.
