Im sure others will be with me here. I wish you all the best of luck with getting her to that condition. It will be nice to see another running Bucc.

Pretty much the first time I’ve been able to respond to this thread, life has become exceedingly busy at the moment!!!
Ollie, their are no plans whatsoever to fly 889, our plan is to get her up to a state where most of her systems are live again, that includes engines, which she does not have at the moment but we have a couple held on our behalf.
Pete, the paint is of the permanent variety, talks are already underway about repainting her in a scheme she wore when she was first taken on charge.
Scimitar, the bomb door is currently open, but we aim to remove it during the Winter so we can gain unrestricted access to the myriad of pipes, hoses & wiring looms that can be found in this area, my team are going to love me for this one!! :dev2: :dev2:
Thanks go out to those that have supported us through this difficult stage in retrieving 889 from Stav.
One image for those that have not seen 889 on the hard standing.

Cool looking a/c, is this the original ‘water soluble’ paint or something more permanent and is this the Bucc that was originally called ‘Sky Pirates’.
I remember going to Finningley after the first Gulf War and being treated to an attack demo by Jags, Tornadoes etc, but the Buccs just blew them all away when they came weaving across the airfield, still wearing the pink paint, bliss, I’m sure Sky Pirates was one of them.
