Trying to trace…

A chum has posted this on a non-aviation forum i subscribe to. Any of the experts out there able to point him in the right direction?

Aye-up…As you know some of our mob are first class at finding things. Well I’m looking to find an old family friend who has not been heard of for some years. He was in the Air Force and also served in the Fleet Air Arm. Tried the R.A.F and Fleet Air Arm but to no avail as only blood related can have evidence of service. Any clues to where else I should try ? Its quite important. Thanks
