If this is absolute and verified, this extremely rare engine (No.1) is superb…..
but HOW MUCH?
Ok, having read the text, it’s probably in the right ball park considering it’s rarity, and I wish I had the sort of lottery money to buy it… 😮

100k, perhaps a bit more. No aircraft for it to be mounted in, nor will there ever be. It’s beautiful and a historic piece, but 2m could buy you a fleet of aircraft, live and static!

Really? “Rarity Value” is just a phrase coined by clever marketing people.
Rare items are only valuable if enough people want them. . . . . .
What does anyone think that engine would make in auction without a reserve?

what I dont get is that this person has sold a couple of SHAR’s for about 70k how the hell can a TSR.2 engine be worth £2,000,000?
I wonder what his profit margins are :diablo:

to be perfectly honest, its not worth two airworthy spitfires. an engine that has no airframe to mount it in for an aircraft that barely anyone nowadays has heard of. Imho the seller is dreaming.
This is already on the seen on ebay thread btw :p
Cheers
