I thought I would post these images of the store at Strathallan Airfield circa 2007 from when I worked there. Let me know your thoughts as to what these items are?

now thats a rarity !! a Attacker… if i had it, it wouldnt be gathering dust.. what a beauty.. surely worth saving, being there is only one of the type left in the uk.. as far as i am aware ??
any idea what the larger panel is underneath??

Fantastic! I was looking for Attacker cockpit shots, but couldn’t find any.

The panel is from an Attacker. Quite a rarity.

i did think T.7
I don’t think it is as they normally have quite a flat panel, Swifts have that ‘3rd dimension’ look to them which is why I was wondering that.

Very interesting find! Must be only be a few of them left.

Not that I recognise, unless maybe one half of early T.7 or something, looks very intrigueing.
Looks quite Swifty to me.

I’ve just contacted one of the main guys at NEAM and they are very very interested. PM me any details that you want passing on. Regards, Phil.

anything else there need good homes???. any use to individuals and museums ?? Spares ??..
what are the panels from.. is one of them meatbox ??
and can you remember what sort of engine is there, is it Piston, jet, APU, ??
By: XV467 - 2nd June 2010 at 19:23
I understood the significance of the radome as soon as I saw it. Ive kinda kept it to myself for these last few years. At the end of the day as small as these items are, they need to find a good home.
Bear in mind it was 2007 when I last saw this stuff but I have been on reccy missions up until very recently and it doesnt look like anything has changed.
There are lots more items up there in the store aircraft seats, turrets and I am sure there is a complete engine up there aswell.
I have in my loft a piece of testing gear for DH Comet landing gear still in box, tagged etc(I think!), RAF blind flying panel and various instruments. Also various workshop manuals for Piston Provost, DH Comet with techy signatures etc (probably reflects the original strathallan collection)

where did it all go?
By: Phantom Phil - 2nd June 2010 at 19:16
TSR2 NOSECONE
I can tell you who would have that straight away… The North East Aircraft Museum need one to finish of the TSR2 radar trials Meteor NF11/12 WD790. It might even be the one taken off her when she was broken up at RAF Leeming…

I’m guessing Anson, due to the preponderance of the things they used to have!
