Just seen a history prog on the Beeb, showing models from the 60’s wearing short dresses adorned with bits from the TSR2! The commentator firmly predicted that in the future fashion would contain bits from a/c – including Concorde!. Showed some scrapyard footage of a TSR2 wing.

Dragon’s Den Aircraft Bit
Looked to me like the rear cone from a Vampire T11 fuselage.

On a programme on the box a few weeks ago called “Dragons Den” (putting together inventors and people with money) when the series’ presenter was talking there appeared in the background a standard lamp that appeared to be made from an aircraft/engine rear end.
Did anybody identify it?

I saw that too – the wing bore a serial in the XD series – Scimitar? However, the clip is taken from a longer smug fashion piece that seemed to be revelling in the destruction of the TSR2 technology – it’s enough to make a grown man weep…… 🙁 What were you beatniks thinking of?
