Tu-22M Backfire a fighter or a Bomber?

Is very interesting to see that the Tu-22M looks like a big up scale MiG-23 or Su-24, perhaps the Su-24 is the closest configuration; the Tu-22M has a Su-22 variable wings, a fin that resembles the one seen in the MiG-23MF and later versions MiG-29 inlets. really a wierd configuration for a Bomber.
The crew access to the Tu-22M Backfire from door hatches as in the SU-24, perhaps the Tu-28 and the large missiles AS-4 are the reason this tactical bomber looks like a fighter since the AS-4 and AS-6 are huge missiles
